This application is designed to capture a very short acoustic event (like the blast of a horn or constantly varying noise source that's briefly steady-state) and calculate the frequency spectrum. It constantly monitors the acoustic data and displays the time waveform. When you see the event in the time waveform, pause the program and highlight the event you want to analyze. The frequency content is instantaneously diplayed for you to adjust your selection as necessary. When satisfied, you can export the data to Microsoft Excel. The decibel values at each frequency and time waveform (in Pa) are added to the spreadsheet. Features: - Automatically detects and installs 40 types of PC-based Data Acquisition devices from National Instruments
- Single Channel Measurement
- Compatible with IEPE or ICP microphones (anything rated with a mV/Pa output)
- Compatible with microphones up to 25kHz
- Displays a time waveform of the last 30 seconds of data when started
- Calculates a narrowband FFT in 1Hz, 2Hz, 3Hz, or 10Hz increments
- Clearly specifies proper connections to the microphone in the ReadME
- Automatically opens Microsoft Excel and exports a time/date stamp along with the selected time waveform segment and frequency information
